Kevin Durant has worn No. 35 throughout his NBA career. Now seeking a new start with the Brooklyn Nets, he’s switching things up.
On Sunday, Durant announced via his Instagram account that he’s going to wear No. 7 as a member of the Nets. That’s a sick looking jersey
Durant will almost certainly have to wait until the 2020-21 season to officially debut this new number during the regular season. His Achilles injury figures to sideline him for the entire 2019-20 campaign.
In explaining his decision to change numbers, Durant reflected on the different places he’s passed through on his basketball journey, from Seat Pleasant, Maryland to Seattle, to Oklahoma City, and finally, to Golden State.
